Leif Ostlund and Raphael Montpetit
An exciting night of "progression" painting and live jazz. In the true spirit of Nuit Blanche, Toronto artist Leif Ostlund and Montreal artist Raphael Montpetit will begin painting at sunset with plans to complete their works of art by sunrise. The harmony and spontaneity of Ostlund's work comes through in rich luminous tones, while Montpetit captures the mood of the urban landscape with the dramatic play of light and shadow.
As the hours tick by, these energetic artists will be accompanied by an ever-changing roster of jivin' jazz musicians led by acclaimed jazz pianist, Thompson Egbo-Egbo. The night will also bring surprise appearances by well-known writers, musicians and art-lovers.
